You can begin your studies at the University of Sheffield International College at multiple points in the year.

The International Foundation Year and Pre-Masters are delivered at the International College and you will study for 1.5 or 2 semesters, depending on your English language ability. The date you start your programme will determine how long you will have between when you finish your course at the University of Sheffield International College and the beginning of your degree.

English language preparation
If you do not meet the English language requirements for your pathway programme, you can improve your level of English by joining our specialist English language tuition. Programmes are delivered by the University’s English Language Teaching Centre. You can choose to start in March, June or September.
Online English for Pre-Masters:
If you were unable to take your English language test or receive your visa in time to join the face-to-face English for Pre-Masters course in June 2024, you have the option to join our 10-week online English language preparation programme instead, taught by the English Language Teaching Centre staff.
