Thinking of applying to the University of Sheffield International College?

You can now ‘visit’ the College, from anywhere around the world.

We know how hard it can be deciding which university to study at when you can’t visit in person, which is why we created a virtual tour of the College, campus and the accommodation.

The 360-degree footage gives you a real feel of what life is like as a student at the University of Sheffield International College. There are more than 20 locations you can check out, including a lecture room, laboratory, café, gym and study area – and you can even take a sneak peak inside one of our student apartments.

The virtual reality (VR) tour can be viewed on any device, but for the most immersive experience we recommend putting your smartphone into a VR cardboard headset, which you can buy cheaply online or from many shops.

We have further plans to include more of the campus on our virtual tour and are also producing a 360 video tour of our award-winning Diamond Building. The stunning new building cost £81 million to build and includes a range of lecture theatres, laboratories, seminar rooms, open-plan learning spaces, library and IT services.

Brendon Kenny, International Marketing Manager for the University of Sheffield International College said: “I believe virtual reality gives prospective students and their parents a better sense of the space, the character and the quality of the facilities they’ll benefit from when choosing Sheffield.”
