The University of Sheffield is a world top 100, Russell Group university, meaning it’s a highly competitive environment, and entry into the University requires hard work from each of our students.

Continuous improvement

As a testament to this hard work and support at the College, recent data shows that 78% of International College students who completed their course were offered a coveted place to study at the University of Sheffield in 2017. This shows year-on-year improvement, with a higher proportion of students progressing to the University than ever before thanks to the continuous monitoring and improvement of the International College. However it's important to note that students who don’t meet the required grades for Sheffield benefit from extra support from the International College for progression to alternative UK universities to pursue their academic goals.

In 2017, 613 International College students progressed to a degree programme at The University of Sheffield. Over the first two years of the College, six merit scholarships have been awarded to International College students by the University. On top of that, 36 other scholarships were awarded to top performers.
